Frenchman Bay Scenic Turnout
The Frenchman Bay Scenic Turnout provides travelers with a panoramic view of the bay and Mount Desert Island in the background. Newly installed interpretive panels highlight what you see on Frenchman Bay, historic architecture of Sullivan and the Waukeag House, a grand hotel that once stood on this location. Dunbar's Grocery Store is located here, a real icon of the small-scale downeast way of life. You will also see a number of historic homes and Sullivan Harbor here.
